In a way I agree with you. In my encounters with
Burmese and pinoys, only one from Myanmar converted to citizen and
he hates the Papigs govt in Singapore. When asked why he
accept citizenship he said he cannot stand the govt in Myanmar.
He hates the Papigs for selling weapons to Myanmmar
govt to kill their own people.
So far the rest of foreigners including pinoys are only
interested to earn money here and return to their countries.
Then he must hate the WP and the SDA too, as they are also part
of the government them.
Singapore did not isolate the Myanmar government, and this paved
the way to what is happening now.
That Myanmar cannot see beyong his nose, but there will be a
time when Aung San Suu Kyi will visit Singapore, all smiles.
